It gives me great pleasure to formally invite you to join our prestigious judging panel as an esteemed judge, at the ninth annual Gulf Capital SME Awards scheduled to take place on the 9th of September 2020 in Dubai.
Gulf Capital and MEED launched the first edition of the Gulf Capital SME Awards way back in 2012. The 2020 edition of the Gulf Capital SME Awards are open for entrants from across the GCC region, making this one of the biggest platforms dedicated to celebrating the success and achievements of entrepreneurs and SMEs that have helped shaped the region’s modern economy.
We are tremendously proud of the Gulf Capital SME Awards, and feel privileged to have the opportunity to bring this incredible event to the industry yet again.
We are asking you to join us for the second stage of judging. In order to facilitate this process, a specially appointed team at MEED, employing an auditor (Grant Thornton) approved scoring model will work diligently through the month of May 2020 to curate a list of finalists together with their supporting documents for your perusal. We will ensure that you will have had the opportunity to review these entries prior to your participation at the judging session.
The second stage assesses each finalist to identify a winner in each individual category.
We are requesting that you join us on Tuesday, 9 June 2020, when we will be judging the finalists of the prestigious Digital Business of the Year category and will require your expertise to adjudicate on the below:
Category: Digital Business of the Year
Open to any Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and UAE business trading online, this award will go to the candidate that can best demonstrate consistent growth and strong financial performance from e-commerce. Judges will look for evidence of concept and product development, exceptional implementation, customer engagement & functionality, and innovation. Entrants for this award must show how they have been successful in delivering key goals, competitor advantage, growth and innovation. Judges will also look for excellent customer service, future growth plans, how the business is developing its employees and the leadership of the business.
This session is currently scheduled to take place from 13:00 – 17:00 hours at the MEED Head office in Dubai.
However, as you will be experiencing, these are uncertain and extremely fluid times. We are actively monitoring updates on Covid-19 and in order to minimize risks to both you and our employees, we may elect to move from face to face judging to a digital solution closer to the judging dates.
